Taylor cares about the world knowing that you can be both a tech optimist AND a Christian. Technological advances may even be a part of God’s redemptive story.

Additionally, Taylor writes about theology and its intersection with political thought.

He is a public speaker, widely published, and regularly on radio, podcast, and TV media. Taylor is also the co-author of Called to Freedom: Why You Can Be Christian and Libertarian (Wipf & Stock 2017).

Taylor Barkley is currently Director of Public Policy at the Abundance Institute. There he directs research and represents the portfolio on federal and state tech policy issues. Previously, he was the Director of Technology and Innovation at Utah State University’s Center for Growth and Opportunity. He has also worked at Stand Together and Stand Together Trust (formerly the Charles Koch Institute) where he managed the technology policy portfolio and conducted research at the intersection of culture, technology, and innovation. Prior roles have been the Government Affairs Manager at the Competitive Enterprise Institute where he developed relationships with U.S. lawmakers and agency staff, and the Assistant Director of Outreach for Technology Policy at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.

He is originally from southern California and a graduate of Taylor University with a double major in history and political science.
